摘要: Circadian rhythms were investigated in rats following surgery, as measured by body temperature and locomotor activity, postoperative recovery was activity level. Eight randomly selected Sprague-Dawley implanted with radio temperature-transmitters under general anesthesia. Timer-controlled cassette recorders recorded at predetermined intervals. To monitor the placed individual metabolic cages equipped infrared-sensitive monitors. Temperature sampled hourly. Activity continuously summed every 15 minutes for sampling. Measurement begun before surgery continued from 12 to 20 days depending on when animals regained their typical rhythmic patterns. altered uncoupled external cues a manner similar that previously found humans. The demonstrated variation return presurgical levels. Six after experienced second period of disrhythmic decreased activity. Rats greatest phase-shifts took longest This suggests degree circadian alteration is positively related time required reentrainment rhythmicity.
