摘要: Abstract Between April and July 1980, four zooplankton surveillance cruises were conducted in Lake Huron waters. Crustacean rotifer species composition abundance generally characteristic of oligotrophic cruise mean abundances more than twice as large those reported from 1971, although not high southern 1974. Rotifers occurred even greater 1974 over the whole lake 1980. Differences across time may reflect changes trophic status or differences sampling methods locations. The 1980 community was strongly dominated by crustaceans, probable major grazers on phytoplankton community. Rotifers, because their possible sensitivity to food limitations potential rate population increase, be best indicators condition. However, crustacean better ecosystem structure (because vulnerability fish predators) function role grazing).
