摘要: In situ quantum efficiencies were measured in Lake Superior over a 4-day period 1978 and on one occasion 1980. 1980, experimental artifacts caused by exposing deep phytoplankton to elevated irradiances minimized the use of SCUBA divers. The trends efficiency with depth agreed well theory. nutrient-limited upper portion euphotic zone, increased depth, whereas light-limited lower relatively constant. Maximum calculated downwelling ranged from 0.041 0.069 moles C fixed • Einst abs−1 mean maximum 0.0538 ± 0.0025 abs−1. morning experiments 0.053 slightly less than noon values, 0.057 0.067 Correction for scalar irradiance would reduce all 25%.
