摘要: Lipid biomarker records from sinking particles collected by sediment traps can be used to study the seasonality of production as well processes particle formation and settling, ultimately leading preservation biomarkers in sediments. Here we present indices based on alkenones TEX86 isoprenoid glycerol dialkyl tetraethers (GDGTs), both for reconstruction sea surface temperatures (SST). These were obtained using a trap moored filamentous upwelling zone off Cape Blanc, Mauritania, at approximately 1300 water depth during four-year time interval between 2003 2007, supplemented determined suspended particulate matter waters area. Mass lipid fluxes are highest peak periods October June. The alkenone GDGT display pronounced seasonal variability. Sinking velocities calculated lag measured SST maxima minima corresponding index samples higher containing (14-59 m d-1) than GDGTs (9-17 d-1). It is suggested that predominantly exported shallow incorporation opal-rich particles. estimates correspond amplitude observed fluctuations period. Temperature show smaller amplitudes, which explained either predominant warm season, or contribution deep waters, this region known carry distribution translates high signal.
