Variable area bypass injector seal

摘要: A variable area bypass injector (VABI) seal for a cycle gas turbine engine includes circumferentially segmented attached to the diffuser. Each segment is spring loaded allow different axial movement between adjacent segments, and has seat portion complimentary VABI valve conical surface sealingly engaging when in closed position. Additionally, segments are shaped with low aerodynamic profile cooperate surface, an open position, provide annular conic channel that keeps flow core flowpath walls as it injected into stream.
