摘要: Technology, it is argued, has the potential to improve everyone's life: from workplace, entertainment, easing chores around home. But what of people who have neither job nor home? We undertook a qualitative study homeless population in metropolitan U.S. city better understand means be and how technology--from cell phones bus passes--affects their daily lives. The themes we identify provide an array opportunities for technological interventions that can empower population. Our investigation also reveals need reexamine some assumptions made HCI about relationship with technology. suggest broader awareness social context technology use as critical component when considering design innovation homeless.
