摘要: A 10-year fog climatology of Germany and adjacent areas, based on NOAA-Advanced Very High-Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) data, is presented. Maximum frequency obtained for the Lake Constance area; minimum occurrence, accounting basins river valleys, located in Lower Rhine area. This a transition zone between coastal advection more continental radiation lower mountain range. Fog persistence estimated by comparison night day maps. Using bispectral approach Nakajima [J. Atmos. Sci. 52, (1995) 4043], potential weather satellite data climatologies fog's optical microphysical properties examined. Maps depth, effective radius liquid water path (LWP) are computed from well-illuminated noon images resulting set statistically evaluated. Typical features areas North Baltic Seas, while pre-Alpine reveals characteristics fog. The results general accordance with field observations various sources.
