摘要: Abstract The effects of alkyl quaternary ammonium on the processing thermal stability poly (vinyl chloride)/alkyl modified montmorillonite (PVC/OMMT) composites were investigated. PVC/sodium (MMT) prepared for comparison. intercalated PVC/OMMT exhibited a non-terminal rheological behavior, and showed better mechanical properties higher degradation than PVC/MMT composites. However, under identical melt conditions, observed to discolor from light yellow pink with increasing OMMT content, while PVC kept good stability. It is suggested that decomposition modifier following catalytic dehydrochlorination main reasons discoloration Discoloration all was investigated by UV–visible spectroscopy, yellowness index haze measurement. All characterized tested using wide angle X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, infrared solution 1H nuclear magnetic resonance tensile testing, notched Izod impact testing thermogravimetric analysis as well ARES rheometrics.
