摘要: Gadolinium calcium oxide borate GdCa4O(BO3)3 melts congruently, and single crystals with diameters of up to 35 mm lengths 70 were grown by the Czochralski method. Deformation crystal structure was observed. X-ray topography conoscopic polariscopic investigations revealed core situated in central part crystal, which not visible naked eye. The relative (b/bav) difference lattice parameter b region compared neighboring areas evaluated be on order 9.6 × 10−4. Outside mean value is constant, while fluctuations spatial distribution Bragg angle discovered. effect growth instabilities causes a certain deformation plane (interface). However, it did disturb optical properties, quite good crystalline area yield considerable second harmonic (532 nm) power laser experiments.
