摘要: Proteogenomic strategies aim to refine genome-wide annotations of protein coding features by using actual level observations. Most the currently applied proteogenomic approaches include integrative analysis multiple types high-throughput omics data, e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc. Recent efforts towards creating a human proteome map were primarily targeted experimentally detect at least one product for each gene in genome and extensively utilized approaches. The 14 year long wait get draft map, after completion similar sequence genome, explains huge complexity technical hurdles such efforts. Further, large-scale multi-omics datasets inherent these studies becomes major bottleneck their success. However, recent developments various tools pipelines dedicated proteogenomics reduce both time analysis. Here, we summarize notable approaches, studies, software potential applications eukaryotic annotation clinical proteogenomics.
