摘要: Objective: To assess the discrepancies in marginal integrity and contact points of Porcelain Fused to Metal (PFM) crowns its association with caries adjacent teeth. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Place Duration Study: Dental Section Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, from January August 2009. Methodology: Ninety six (96) patients PFM on maxillary mandibular premolars molars were included this Single unit that part fixed bridge at least one natural tooth studied. crown no or badly broken down teeth excluded. Marginal integrity, assessed clinically radiographically. The data was collected a structured Proforma. Fisher's exact test used for statistical analysis. Results: overhang gaps mesial surfaces observed 17.7% 13.5% respectively. Tight open contacts 15.6% 17.8% respectively surfaces. Caries present 33.3% 20% distal faulty found significant (p < 0.001). discrepancy = 0.002). Conclusion: A margins found.
