摘要: Aim A porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) veneer crown restoration is considered successful when biological, mechanical, and esthetical concerns are satisfied. Restorations with poor marginal integrity may contribute to the cause of severe caries periodontal defects. The most important factor in achieving preparation design. Although a sloping shoulder offers biologic esthetic advantages over bevel, comparison these two designs less clear main focus this study. Methods materials This study was based on analysis 40 PFM specimens fabricated 20 stone dies. Each die had beveled one side design other. All were selected managed an identical manner throughout entire experimental process. dies made from standard stainless steel preparation. Marginal veneers evaluated using scanning electron microscope measure gap between tooth margin. data analyzed Student t-test at significance level p>0.05. Results An average amount (+/- SD) for test groups as follows: 40.78+/-18.4 microns; shoulder, 52.8+/-27.4 microns (p>0.05). within acceptable clinical range no significant difference observed. Conclusions Within limitations both found be similar. Since biological its use indicated anterior restorations.
