摘要: Upon the completion of transesterification reaction, produced biodiesel has to be purified from by-product glycerol before being employed as a potential diesel substitute. The content must meet limit set by international standards; namely EN 14214 and ASTM D6751. conventional purification methods such water washing, dry washing membrane separation are prone significant product loss, environmental pollution increased production cost. In this work, seven new ternary deep eutectic solvents (DESs) were synthesised choline chloride (ChCl) salt two glycols-based hydrogen bond donors, ethylene glycol. These DESs extraction remove total palm oil-based biodiesel. results revealed that have higher removal efficiency than free glycerol. Complete was attained DES 3 at molar ratio 0.5:1 (DES 3: biodiesel).
