摘要: As water mist fire fighting systems become increasingly common, there is a need to transform the accumulated practical experience quantitative models. contribution this process, paper proposes transient one-zone computer model for total flooding suppression in ventilated enclosures. The approach based on experimentally observed ability of sprays mix gas volume protected space. From assumption, solves time evolution temperature, density, composition and concentration inside incorporates detailed description liquid phase (mist droplets) evaporation process. extinguishment hydrocarbon flame predicted adiabatic temperature concept. possibilities limitations are demonstrated by validation against experimental data from large-scale machinery space tests.
