摘要: Due to the intense R&D activity in field of water mist fire suppression during past decade, qualitative and quantitative understanding on performance has increased significantly. This development led a point which theoretical models describing large-scale systems begin emerge. paper describes composition validation one such model, designed for total flooding applications, especially against flammable liquid hazards enclosures. The basic construction model is first described, followed by an example using full-scale experimental data. then used investigate limitations maximum possible concentration protected space. potential as engineering tool illustrated making predictions scaling laws associated with framework IMO MSC/Circ.668/728 enclosure volumes ventilation conditions are varied. found be agreement what indicated recent US Coast Guard test series very large machinery spaces.
