摘要: Abstract Aim The aim of this work is to catalogue, document, and make known the uses plants for folk medicine in western part province Granada (southern Spain). An analysis was made species used, parts plant employed, preparation methods, administration means, ailments treated relation pathological groups. Materials methods performed 16 municipalities within study zone. participants were located mainly by questionnaires distributed public private centres. information, gathered through semi-structured open interviews a total 279 people, included database subsequent analysis. A floristic catalogue territory compiled, enabling analyses relevance certain botanical families popular medicine. Results conclusions Great diversity established among medicinal region. 229 catalogued use human prevent or treat 100 different health problems covering 14 number references reached 1963. pharmacopoeia area relies primarily on digestive, respiratory, circulatory problems, using soft (leaves flowers) prepared simple ways (decoction, infusion). ritual 34 symptoms reflected acculturation ethnobotanical knowledge last 20 years. Ethnopharmacological traditional shown use, reflecting striking uses, as well their importance therapy These traditions could pave way future phytochemical pharmacological studies thereby give rise new resources.
