摘要: Myelomeningocele (MMC) is the most prevalent form of spina bifida aperta. Here we present surgical repair technique a dorsolumbar myelomeningocele with large associated soft tissue defect. Data concerning anamnesis and complementary studies were obtained from clinical history. Surgical images in operation room during surgery. We describe case newborn dorsal placode central area skin defect 12 x× cm. Urgent intervention was carried out on day birth reconstruction. Dorsal gluteus maximus muscle rotation flap performed order to achieve complete closure myocutaneous The patient presented good recovery no new neurological deficit. may be defects that can difficult correct by primary closure. In these cases, flaps necessary
