摘要: Baseline information is lacking for the Syrian Brown Bear across sub-species range, making it difficult to assess at any level. In present investigation, our goal was illustrate population status of in Golestanak area, northern Iran, based on field surveys we conducted during summers 2011 and 2012. Sub-adults had lowest contribution among observed individuals, just below 10%, which may be due their high dispersal behaviour avoid adults. Our results provide foundation future systematic baseline investigations brown bear can used management programs. Aside from improving monitoring efforts within key habitats species, enhancing conservation secure essential safeguard this female core area.
