摘要: This document is part of the Synthesis and Assessment Products described in U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP) Strategic Plan. The Government's CCSP responsible for providing best science-based knowledge possible to inform management risks opportunities associated with changes climate related environmental systems. To support its mission, has commissioned 21 "synthesis assessment products" (SAPs) advance decision making on change-related issues by current evaluations change science identifying priorities research, observation, support. Product (SAP), developed as Program, examines potential effects sea-level rise from during twenty-first century, a focus mid-Atlantic coast United States. Using scientific literature policy-related documents, SAP describes physical environments; coastal environments, wetlands, vulnerable species; societal impacts implications rise; decisions that may be sensitive adaptation; institutional barriers adaptation.
