摘要: Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) currently finds wide application in studies of the thermotropic behavior lipids biological membranes and related systems (Chapman, 1975a,b; Scheidler Steim, 1975). Almost without exception these have employed calorimetric equipment which is limited to very small sample sizes relatively high scan rates, so that only low sensitivity realized with aqueous solutions suspensions are interest biology. The recent development calorimeters especially adapted for applications involving dilute (Gill Beck, 1965; Tsong et al., 1970; Jackson Brandts, Ross Goldberg, 1974; Grubert Ackermann, Privalov 1975; Suurkuusk 1976) opens up possibility more searching quantitative systems. present chapter outlines fundamental principles DSC, discusses several high-sensitivity DSC systems, particular reference most highly developed calorimeter available, one designed by (Privalov
