摘要: The WHO has recently recommended the inclusion of rotavirus vaccine in national immunization programs all countries. In countries Americas, Europe and Australia that have adopted routine childhood against rotavirus, significant reductions burden severe diarrhea been observed. Besides protecting vaccinated children, disease rates also appear to be reduced unvaccinated suggesting indirect benefits from vaccination (i.e., herd protection). Early clinical trial data Africa Asia are promising, further efforts needed optimize developing where vaccines likely their greatest impact.
