摘要: Abstract. Calabria (southern Italy) is a flood prone region, due to both its rough orography and fast hydrologic response of most watersheds. During the rainy season, intense rain affects triggering floods mass movements that cause economic damage fatalities. This work presents methodological approach perform comparative analysis two events affecting same area at distance 15 years, by collecting all qualitative quantitative features useful describe damage. The aim understand if similar meteorological can have different outcomes in terms first event occurred between 8 and 10 September 2000, damaged 109 out 409 municipalities region killed 13 people campsite flood. second event, which 30 October 1 November 2015, 79 municipalities, man highlights that, despite exceptionality daily was higher 2015 caused 2000 infrastructures belongings higher, it strongly increased victims. We concluded management pre-event phases, with issuing alert, emergency management, preventive evacuation hazardous situations landslides or floods, contributed reduce number
