摘要: Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, is a primary antioxidant in plasma and within cells, but it can also interact with the membrane by donating electrons to α-tocopheroxyl radical trans-plasma oxidoreductase activity. Ascorbate-derived reducing capacity thus transmitted both into across membrane. Recycling of α-tocopherol ascorbate helps protect lipids from peroxidation.
