摘要: Objective:  To investigate the efficacy of palliative transurethral prostatectomy (TURP) for lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men with prostate cancer. Patients and method:  The surgical outcome TURP performed 46 cancer was studied. A poor defined as development incontinence, repeat surgery placement a long-term catheter (LTC) within 1 year surgery. cohort 47 who underwent benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) used control population. Results:  Initial removal failed larger number patients compared to BPH (43% 10%, respectively, P = 0.0001). Using objective endpoints, 37% (17/46) were having because surgery, LTC or incontinence following TURP. These events occurred only 12% (6/47) (P = 0.004). In multiple regression analysis good associated presentation acute retention (AUR; P = 0.01) while context hormone refractory disease Requirement despite (12/46) also absence AUR at (P = 0.01) 0.01). Conclusion:  significant LUTS may not derive benefit from Patients particular are more likely have poorer outcomes.
