摘要: Nonlinear optical effects arise when one applies to a material system fields that are on the order of or larger than atomic exist within system. Quantum size appear dimensions become comparable even smaller natural length scale governing its quantum mechanics. Much recent progress has resulted from combination these two very productive areas physics. Because advances in semiconductor and laser technologies, it is now possible apply intense, ultrashort pulses light nanometer‐scale heterostructures. These conditions produce many new exciting effects. This article aims give reader flavor status this quickly evolving field research, with special emphasis most novel unexpected results.
