摘要: Background: Circuit formation in the nervous system essentially relies on proper development of neurons and their processes. In this context, ubiquitin ligase Nedd4 is a crucial modulator axonal dendritic branching. Results: Herein we characterize Nedd4-binding protein 3 (N4BP3), Fezzin family member, during nerve cell development. developing rat primary hippocampal neurons, endogenous N4BP3 localizes to neuronal processes, including axons dendrites. Transient vitro knockdown cultures neuritogenesis results impaired branching line with these findings, vivo n4bp3 Xenopus laevis embryos severe alteration cranial Conclusions: We introduce as novel molecular element for correct neurites propose central role an N4BP3-Nedd4 complex neurite circuit formation.
