摘要: Gradual decadal changes have taken place in the Western Arabian Sea over last 50 years. These affected wind speeds, atmospheric and sea surface temperature, thermohaline stratification, shoaling of oxycline, dust/iron inputs.  A decrease nitrate supply photic layer caused an increase annual frequency harmful algal blooms fish kills. Along with that, a diatom biomass shift from red Noctiluca to green during northeast monsoon was observed two decades, Even though these are same species they very different nutritional modes. The one is heterotroph preference for grazing diatoms, while has symbiont thus it mixotroph. Recent results suggest that this may be by oxycline since grows better under low oxygen because produces its host. western temporally spatially complex. With recent advances remote sensing ocean, further understanding temporal spatial can gained through analyzing frequent images opportunistic ground-truthing.
