摘要: Avian hepatitis E virus (HEV), a novel identified from chickens with hepatitis-splenomegaly (HS) syndrome, is genetically and antigenically related to human HEV. Recently, it was found that avian HEV antibody also prevalent in healthy chickens. A prospective study done on known seropositive but chicken farm identify isolates Fourteen were randomly selected, tagged monitored under natural conditions for 19 weeks. All 14 seronegative at the beginning of 12 weeks age. By 21 age, all had seroconverted antibody. None any sign HS syndrome. Partial helicase gene capsid sequences recovered determined share 75-97 % nucleotide sequence identity corresponding regions Thus far, only one strain syndrome has been characterized its gene, therefore region an additional characterized. The genes be heterogeneic, sharing 76-100 each other. This indicates enzootic flocks spreads subclinically among United States heterogeneic.
