摘要: Remote sensing, evaluation of digital elevation models (DEM), geographic information systems (GIS) and fieldwork techniques were combined to study the groundwater conditions in Eritrea. sensing data interpreted produce lithological lineament maps. DEM was used for geomorphologic mapping. Field studies permitted structures correlated them with interpretations. Hydrogeological setting springs wells investigated field, from well logs pumping test data. All thematic layers integrated analysed a GIS. Results show that occurrence is controlled by lithology, landforms. Highest yields occur basaltic rocks are due primary secondary porosities. High yielding often related large lineaments, intersections corresponding structural features. In metamorphic igneous intrusive rugged landforms, occurs mainly drainage channels valley fill deposits. Zones very good potential characteristic overlying lateritized crystalline rocks, flat topography dense lineaments structurally The overall results demonstrate use remote GIS provide potentially powerful tools resources design suitable exploration plan.
