摘要: Oils found in many Australian sedimentary basins contain a relatively high input of terrigenous organic source material. A study large number these oils has permitted biomarker distributions to be determined that appear characteristic for derived from These features include the presence sesquiterpanes, absence tricyclic terpanes, concentrations C24-tetracyclic terpane, predominance C29-steranes, two unidentified C27- and C30-terpanes virtual 18α(H)-oleanane. The latter observation is significant since it appears 18α(H)-oleanane only Tertiary age material. An attempt also been made compare results with published material other parts world. reports literature fairly limited but some observations can extended them. This an initial devise classification scheme used determine origin oil unambiguously parameters. In order this approach successful parameters need assigned as particular type
