摘要: Abstract The transfer of protein from the cerebral ventricles to parenchymal blood-stream in mice was studied by electron microflapy. After perfusion with tracer horseradish peroxidase (HRP; M.W. approx. 40,000) through ventricles, penetrated ependymal lining and found extracellular space neuropil close ependyma. HRP also seen vascular basement membrane endothelial vesicles opening at abluminal surface, or situated within cells segments microvasculature (mostly small arterioles). In some these on luminal surface endothelia surface-connected vesicles. junctions connecting adjacent cellls were never HRP. It is concluded that vesicular transport across endothelium represents a possible mechanism for removal brain space.
