Trans- and cis- 2-phenylindole platinum(II) complexes as cytotoxic agents against human breast adenocarcinoma cell lines

摘要: Abstract The synthesis and characterization of the new 2-phenylindole derivative: C 8 H 3 N-2-C 6 5 -3NOMe-5OMe ( 3c ) trans- cis- isomers [Pt( )Cl 2 (DMSO)] complexes 4c 5c , respectively) are described. crystal structures ·CH Cl confirm: (a) existence a Pt-N indole bond, (b) relative arrangement − ligands [ (in or )] (c) anti- E configuration oxime. cytotoxic assessment N-2-(C 4 -4′R 1 )-3NOMe-5R [with R  = R  = H 3a );  = Cl, 3b  = H,  = OMe geometrical [Pt(L)Cl with L =  – 4a 5a ), respectively] against human breast adenocarcinoma cell lines (MDA-MB231 MCF-7) is also reported reveals that all platinum(II) (except more than cisplatin in front MCF7 line. Electrophoretic DNA migration studies synthesized compounds absence presence topoisomerase-I have been performed, order to get further insights into their mechanism action.
