摘要: We investigated the structure of male reproductive system in Ichthyophis supachaii. The testis comprises a series mulberry-like lobes, each which contains lobules occupied by germ cysts. A single cyst consists synchronously developing cells. Six spermatogenic cell types, viz. primary spermatogonia, secondary spermatocytes, spermatids and spermatozoa, have been identified described. Notably, I. supachaii encompasses specific organization patterns spermatozoa during spermiogenesis. Spermiating cysts rupture release to collecting ducts, are subsequently transported sperm duct, Wolffian duct cloaca. report for first time ciliated cells epithelium caecilian duct. cloaca is divided into urodeum phallodeum. has glandular epithelia at its dorsolateral ventral regions, respectively, as lining internal surface. muscular phallodeum lined epithelium.
