Effect of nanoparticles mean diameter on mixed convection heat transfer of a nanofluid in a horizontal tube

摘要: Abstract Fully developed mixed convection of a nanofluid (water/Al 2 O 3 ) has been studied numerically. Two-phase mixture model used to investigate the effects nanoparticles mean diameter on flow parameters. The calculated results demonstrate that heat transfer coefficient significantly increases with decreasing means diameter. However it does not change hydrodynamics Nanoparticles distribution at tube cross section shows non-uniformity particles augments when using larger and/or considering relatively high value Grashof numbers.
