摘要: Abstract Species of Penicillium section Citrina have a worldwide distribution and occur commonly in soils. The is here delimited using combination phenotypic characters sequences the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene operon, including internal transcribed spacer regions ITS1 ITS2, 5.8S nrDNA (ITS) partial RPB2 sequences. assigned to share production symmetrically biverticillate conidiophores, flask shaped phialides (7.0–9.0 μm long) relatively small conidia (2.0–3.0 diam). Some species can produce greyish-brown coloured cleistothecia containing flanged ascospores. In present study, more than 250 isolates presumably belonging were examined combined analysis physiological characters, extrolite profiles ITS, β-tubulin and/or calmodulin Section includes 39 species, 17 those are described as new. most important for distinguishing growth rates colony reverse colours on agar media CYA, MEA YES; shape, size ornamentation sclerotia or cleistothecia. Temperature-growth made all valuable character identification. centered around P. citrinum generally higher maximum temperature (33–36 °C) related westlingii (27–33 °C). Extrolite patterns be used sequence based identification resolved species. contrast, ITS less variable only 55 % could unambiguously identified with this locus.
