摘要: AbstractRelease of two very soluble beta adrenergic blockers namely: metoprolol tartrate and alprenolol HCl from cellulose matrices containing hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC) or sodium carboxymethylcellulose (Na CMC) methylcellulose (MC), MC + Na CMC HPC in different ratios was studied distilled water using USP dissolution apparatus 2. Increase the ratio total polymer to drug has decreased release rate a nonlinear manner. When only one (HPC used, profiles were first-order sigmoidal nature respectively. disintegrated < 1 h. By mixing with an optimum amount nonionic MC) anionic polymers, zero-order excellent reproducibility obtained. Rate erosion matrix 2.5 times higher when drug, present compared HPC. This indicates that diffusional pathlength for increases time whe...
