摘要: Abstract The effect of aminophylline and propranolol hydrochloride release from sustained tablets containing four grades hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) has been examined. drug: HPMC ratio drug particle size on also investigated. In all cases a plot % dissolved against √time produced straight line. Similar rates were obtained K4M, K15M, K100M matrices at similar ratios, although K100 gave consistently higher identical levels. It was found that the major factor controlling ratio; increasing polymer content decreased dissolution rate drug. A line relationship established between logarithm tablet ( mg · min −1 2 ), enabling to be predicted for variety different substances. suggested this is accounted by considering weight directly influences surface area matrix which in turn controls rate. Changes insignificantly affected release.
