Embedded spirituality: gardening in daily life and stressful life experiences

摘要: Scand J Caring Sci; 2011; 25; 567–574 Embedded spirituality: gardening in daily life and stressful experiences Background:  There is a limited body of research examining the relationship between spirituality leisure, or impact leisure context life, with events. Aim:  To examine meaning gardens across different experiences using hermeneutic phenomenology to focus on lived experience gardening. Methods:  Most participants were interviewed once each season over 1 year period usually their home. 42 (27 women 15 men) this study. Fifteen individuals had been diagnosed cancer varying stages diagnosis treatment. Three people chronic progressive disease. Four grieving death spouse. Participants ranged age from 32 80 years. Results:  In paper, we spirituality-related themes study: as connectedness; an expression inner being; garden spiritual place activity; journey; and, stewardship. religious views saw extension confirmation beliefs. secular sacred that was not related any beliefs more likely embed nature manifested garden. Conclusion:  This study extends current theory regarding its contribution focused coping, significant component living health events.
