摘要: Extensive evidence from both animal and human research indicates that epinephrine glucocorticoid hormones, released the adrenal glands during emotionally arousing experiences, facilitate consolidation of newly acquired memories. These stress hormone effects are integrated through noradrenergic activation within basolateral amygdala, which regulates memory via interactions with many other brain regions. In contrast to their enhancing on consolidation, hormones impair retrieval working memory. This phenomenon, is usually highly adaptive, provides also some understanding neurobiological processes might underlie formation persistence very strong emotional or traumatic memories in patients posttraumatic disorder, phobias anxiety disorders as well possible implications for therapeutic intervention.
