摘要: Abstract The characteristics of internal gravity waves propagating on a layer high stratification near the ground with deeper, weakly stratified above are examined aid nonhydrostatic numerical model. Simulations performed density current into an environment typically observed thermodynamic structure and no shear. These simulations indicate that amplitude disturbance forms ahead is limited considerably by upward propagation energy in upper layer. To explain large there must exist some additional mechanism, besides weak layer, to trap at low levels.
