摘要: In high frequency bus service lines buses often come irregularly at the stops, in bunches, due to uncertainty of passenger demand and behavior unexpected conditions on roads. Vehicle holding is a commonly used strategy among variety control strategies transit operation order reduce bunching regulate headways. This paper investigates group single or multiple point(s). By incorporating any boarding activities during holding, point problem developed extended points variance headways for downstream stops. The non-convex optimization with linear constraints that minimizes total waiting time both on-board A heuristic then easy fast implement, which makes it suitable real-time implementation. model evaluated simulation case study by using data (i.e., Automatic Location Passenger Count Data) from Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). results show considering time, our mitigates error propagation maintains steady performance, compared common models literature, do not consider while holding.
