摘要: Abstract Aims Senescence is the normal decline in physiological functions due to aging that results cell dysfunction. However, age-associated changes peripheral nerves have not been elucidated. We observed histological sciatic of young and older mice investigate how changed with age, we evaluated protective mechanisms against aging. Main methods Sciatic were collected from female C57BL/6 at ages 8 weeks (young group) 78 weeks (aged examined histologically. Using hematoxylin eosin staining, number density nerve axons evaluated. Through immunofluorescence expression nerve-specific proteins, oxidative stress markers, a neuronal marker (REST/NRSF) investigated, intensity fluorescence was quantified.
