摘要: Cross-sectional imaging modalities like MRI and CT provide images of the chest which are easily understood by clinicians. However, these may not always be available expensive. Lung ultrasonography (US) has therefore become an important tool in hands clinicians as extension clinical exam, been underutilized radiologists. Reinforcement ALARA principle along with dictum "Image gently" have resulted increased use do require radiation. Hence, ultrasound, was earlier being used mainly to confirm presence pleural effusion well evaluate it differentiate solid from cystic masses, is now lung well. This review highlights utility ultrasound paediatric chest. It also describes normal abnormal appearances on advantages limitations this modality.
