Semantic Web and ontology-based applications for digital libraries: An investigation from LIS professionals in Pakistan

摘要: The purpose of this paper is to explore useful Semantic Web technologies and ontology-based applications for digital libraries. It also investigates the perceptions university librarians academicians in Pakistan about their use libraries.,An exploratory research design based on Delphi strategy was conducted answer questions. Interviews were with a purposive sample 50 key informants including Thematic analysis interview data obtain results.,The results showed that DuraCloud, information mashup, OntoEdit resource description framework (RDF) are various which libraries develop semantic relationships among contents increase accessibility web environment.
