Aim.  This paper is a report study exploring the status Beijing patients haemodialysis its factors. Background.  Inactivity widely regarded as risk factor for development progression chronic diseases. Patients dialysis could obtain important health benefits by participating in moderate amount activity. Methods.  A cross-sectional survey using convenience sampling was conducted 2008 at outpatient centres two tertiary Peking University-affiliated hospitals. Physical were assessed International Activity Questionnaire medical outcomes Short Form 36-Item respectively. Result.  The participants 95 men 92 women aged from 18 to 86 years (median 59 years). Transport-related walking household work main types activity. Median metabolic equivalent-minutes/week 1743·0 (0–13482·0); 26·7% inactive 73·3% minimally active or active. Factors with energy expenditure age (ρ = −0·334 P < 0·001), serum albumin concentration (ρ = 0·155 P < 0·05), function (ρ = 0·469 P < 0·001) component summary (ρ = 0·315 scores on Questionnaire. Conclusion.  Advice exercise needed haemodialysis, especially young patients. Individualized programmes are strongly recommended according their capacity.
