摘要: The current reform movement in mathematics education has called for new ways of teaching that encourage children to become active participants mathematical problem solving. In this article, the potential educational television elicit such behavior is investigated by reviewing research on theSquare One TV series. A sizable body evidence indicates that, through viewer participation,Square can promote directly among its target audience 8- 12-year-olds. Described article are types participation have been observed, threeSquare formats consistently found participative behavior, and several characteristics these may responsible increased participation. If incorporated into future television-based materials, they increase materials viewers.
