摘要: Background: The home-based Otago Exercise Program (OEP) has been shown to reduce the occurrence of falls in community-dwelling seniors. A new OEP DVD was recently developed for people living rural communities be used with minimal coaching by a physical therapist. Objective: This study aimed understand older adults’ experiences using DVD-delivered and explore barriers facilitators implementing from participants’ perspectives. Methods: Rural adults (75 years older) who participated six-month were invited participate this qualitative study. Two small group interviews initially conducted breadth program. These followed semi-structured individual gain an in-depth understanding these experiences. An inductive constant comparison analysis transcripts performed. To ensure methodological rigor, field notes, journaling, audit trail maintained, supplemented peer-review. Results: Of 32 eligible participants, five 16 interviews. Three themes emerged.
