摘要: Abstract Experiments were conducted in a laboratory scale membrane bio-reactor (MBR) system equipped with side stream flat sheet membrane. Six runs lasting different durations (2, 4, 6, 9, 15 and 20 days) at an aeration rate of 2 m 3  h −1  m −2 to understand the temporal variation chemistry foulant that attached on surface. The surface was extracted 0.5% (v/v) NaOH solution extract analysed using fluorescent spectroscopy size exclusion chromatography. Variation low- high-molecular weight substances evolution time compared. results showed nature changed time. Four for short duration 6 9 days), low-molecular dominant whereas long (15 mainly observed. Moreover, close contained protein soluble microbial by-products.
