摘要: Abstract Renewable Energy Sources investments are scaling up across the Mediterranean region. The small scale utilization of forest biomass for bioenergy purposes could boost socio-economic benefits in a decentralized level, tackle energy poverty and reduce fire risk. This research contributes to more sustainable use purposes. From plant tissues analysis was proven that both macronutrients micronutrients being allocated differently between aboveground parts. knowledge content differentiation distribution nutrients contributed creation hierarchy significance protection those foliage is main carrier macronutrients. bark stem carriers micronutrients. Thus, extraction should be strictly prevented. In addition, extracted without bark. leaves vital ecosystem's residues. Further analyses reveal remarkable integration suitable silvicultural treatments ecological managing coppice forests, sustainability criteria harvesting ecosystems' nutrient balance. Accordingly, practical implications presented. restrictions present can shape an modern legislation framework as regards Greece enhance parallel management policy Finally, future challenges
