摘要: Apium graveolens L. (Apiaceae) is a dietary herb used as spice, condiment and medicine. A. (Celery) has been studied for its antimicrobial property application flavours in food industry. The present study investigated the oleoresin an anti-quorum sensing antibiofilm agent. quorum biofilm inhibition was carried out using biosensor strains Chromobacterium violaceum CV12472 Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1. MIC of celery against C. P. PAO1 10 25% v/v, respectively. Inhibition violacein formation tested at concentrations oleoresins ranging from 1.56 50% v/v. showed concentration dependent QS inhibitory activity sub-MIC 6.25 12.5% significantly inhibited production (p < 0.05). Similarly, had significant modulatory effect on swimming, swarming twitching motility v/v major phytoconstituents analysed by GC–MS were eicosadiene, benzenemethanol methyl ester which have not previously reported. findings suggest that potential gram negative pathogens can find intervention techniques.
